プロジェクトコンセプト　

私たちは状況、感情、そしてこの二つの島で共鳴し合う空気にフォーカスしたいと思います。描写と音響、これらの相似点が互いに共有し合っているように、ニュアンスはこの二つの場所でも可能性のある分野です。やや漠然としていますが、私たちは類似性の理解を確立しました。

この類似性はある意味、時間や空間に干渉されません。この結論は山々の景色や川のせせらぎがアイスランドと日本で多く見受けられるという事実から得たものです。ダムは同じ景色で、港の匂いは似ていて、子供達は学校からの帰り道で悠々自適に笑い合う。この全てにハーモニーが存在します。私たちのリサーチは、日常生活の中にあるハーモニックコンテンツ（調和のとれた内容）を摘み取って、日本とアイスランドが共鳴し合う部分を示すことです。

私たちはリサーチの仕方も共有したいのです。芸術的探求は時として把握するのが非常に難しく、作品よりも達成困難な場合があるからです。思考の小さな断片、漠然としたアイデアのテキスト、すべてのもののスケッチを提示することによって、私たちが最終的に提示するアート作品に到達する方法を楽しんで、そして理解して頂ける事が私たちの素朴な願いです。残念ながら考えている事全てを書き留めるのは不可能です。従ってこの未完成なデータはアーティストの心に存在しない人たちにとって全くもって無意味になるかもしれません。ですが、喜びや楽しみの為ではないとしても試す価値は多いにあると思うのです。

Project concept General thoughts

We want to focus, with a narrow sight, on situations; feelings; atmospheres that resonate between the two islands. In picture and sound, there is a possible field of nuance between the two places, as they share many similarities.

We have established, although somewhat vaguely, the understanding of similarity. This similarity is in a certain sense not interfered with time and space. This conclusion arrives from the fact that the sounds of the river and the picture of the mountain could have taking place in either Iceland or Japan. The damn looks the same, the smell of the harbor is alike, children laugh with the same fearless intensity on their way home from school. In all of this exists harmony. Our research aims at harvesting this harmonic content of everyday life and show the resonating parts where Iceland and Japan align.

We want to share the ways of our research. Artistic research can often be very hard to grasp and even more unattainable than the art product. It is our naïve hope that by presenting small fragments of thought, texts with vague ideas, and sketches of everything and nothing, the viewer might enjoy and get a better understanding of how we arrive at the art piece we present in the end. Unfortunately, it is impossible to write down everything one thinks, so it might this half formed data of process might become nonsense for everyone that is not present in the artist mind. But we do believe it is worth wile to try, if not only for pleasure and fun for the viewer.
